Charlotte O’Dair Therapy

Therapy and counselling in Brighton & online.

I can help you with whatever challenges you may be facing.

Humanistic therapy based on compassion and kindness.

Maybe you want to talk about something specific such as anxiety or depression. Maybe you don’t know what is wrong, but you feel alone, lost, overwhelmed or disconnected. Whatever it is, I can help.

I aim to create a space where we connect as equals. We will talk about whatever you want to talk about. I don’t have all the answers, but I can help you to notice patterns of behaviour, gain self-awareness and feel a greater sense of choice.

Whatever it is that brings you to me, I will meet you with care and empathy.

  • I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Brighton. Prior to this, I was an arts producer working in a range of settings including Tate Modern, the Barbican and the Roundhouse. I produced large-scale projects and performances with diverse groups of people, such as people who were or who had been homeless, older people in care homes and children and young people.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means that I meet their standards for training, supervision, continuing professional development. Also, I have a contractual commitment to their ethical framework.

  • There are many different kinds of therapy, but research suggests that what matters most is a strong therapeutic relationship. I offer a reduced rate of £30 for the first session, which will be online. We can talk through what has brought you to therapy and be sure that we feel comfortable working together.

If we’re happy to work together, then we’ll book in a time to meet weekly for 50 minutes. This can be online or in person. It will cost £55 per session. We can meet for as many sessions as you like. We will review our work together regularly.

I only work with adults aged eighteen and over.

We can either meet online, or in my peaceful therapy room in the Preston Park area of Brighton.

Meet Pippi, my therapy dog.

If you like dogs, Pippi will give you a warm welcome.

If not, she’ll be elsewhere.
